ARK Invest’s $10 Million Bet on Securitize Signals Growing Institutional Confidence in Tokenization
Cathie Wood's ARK Venture Fund has allocated $10 million to Securitize, the dominant player in real-world asset tokenization. The investment represents 3.25% of the fund's $325.3 million portfolio, positioning Securitize as its eighth-largest holding.
The platform has already tokenized over $4 billion in securities, attracting heavyweight backers including BlackRock and Morgan Stanley. This move coincides with the tokenized asset market's 112% growth to $33 billion year-to-date—a sector Ripple and BCG project could reach $18.9 trillion by 2033.
Securitize now joins ARK's portfolio of disruptive tech companies like SpaceX and OpenAI. Wood's wager underscores institutional recognition of blockchain's potential to revolutionize traditional finance through fractionalized ownership and 24/7 market access.
